Saturday 1st September, 1.00pm - Autumn Fit Camp begins. Inspired by the Olympics? Come and join Fit Camp, no experience or lycra required! Just a bike and some enthusiasm.

Sunday 9th September, The Wiggle Steeplechase Sportive (see calendar for more details, or email).

Sunday 16th September:
  • London to Canterbury (starts at Danson Park)
  • Surrey Super Cycle (Top Gear Test Track - Dunsfold Park, the Tour of Britain comes through Dunsfold Village on the same day, so we can make a full day of it!)
Both are good causes!

KOM - check the calendar for KOM dates - thank you to MG for leading this.

Going into the winter season, the Ride Captains will be implementing some rules on the club rides. LEC prides itself on it's open, welcoming, friendly format and we love to see people being able to express themselves through their cycling, but, as the club grows, we must ensure the safety of all riders, especially going into the winter months. We will be introducing some basic disciplines into the rides and intend to have fun practising them. Please respect what the Ride Captain is asking you to do as they will be taking into account the ability and bike handling skills of the whole group, not just yours!

Strava - after some deliberation, the Strava activity feed has been removed from view on the club website. Strava is a great personal training tool, but we feel it has no place on club rides among a group of riders and has been encouraging some dangerous riding behaviours and poor etiquette. The Leader Board is still in action and rides can still be posted and compared on the Strava website. Please use it responsibly!
