Are you interested in what makes an LEC Ride Captain? Is it something that you might like to have a go at but think you can't?
Come along to our Ride Captain's Workshop on Monday 4th February. (Details on the calendar)
We will take you through all the steps of being a Ride Captain at any level, from leading a ride around the park, to leading a themed ride or training session. Then you can decide if it's something that you can do!
At LEC we pride ourselves on providing Ride Captains to look after everyone on our rides. All our Ride Captains are volunteers and give their time willingly to help other riders. However, as amazing as they are, they do need a break every now and then, and to be able to follow their own personal training plans.
Our strength is that we are a community focused club, offering something for everyone, but at the moment we run the risk of having to turn people away from rides, or cancelling rides altogether.
With the growth of the club and all the lovely new people that are taking part in activities, we need volunteers to come forward, even if it's only for one ride each year.
We don't expect you to jump straight in, come and see what it's about and we will give you the support and training to lead a ride when you are comfortable.
The biggest thing about being a Ride Captain is that is can be so much fun and is always thoroughly rewarding!!
